الفرق بين الجمع والقصر في صلاة المسافر: الجمع هو ضم صلاتين في وقت إحداهما، مثل الظهر والعصر أو المغرب والعشاء. وهو رخصة في السفر، ويجوز للمسافر أن يجمع ويجوز له أن يصلي كل صلاة في وقتها. أما القصر فهو قصر الصلاة الرباعية إلى ركعتين في السفر، وهو سنة وأفضل من الإتمام. ويشرع القصر والجمع بعد البدء في السفر، أي بمفارقة بنيان البلد، بشرط أن تكون المسافة تصل إلى مسافة القصر وهي ثلاثة وثمانون كيلو مترا ذهابا.
